For those of you that don’t know me, let me take a minute to introduce myself. I am originally from Bogotá, Colombia. I moved to the U.S. in 2001 and became a citizen after going through the long naturalization process. I’m thankful for both of the countries that I now consider home. After learning English as a second language, I’ve tapped into a few career paths. Long story short, I discovered that teaching elementary students and taking portraits are the careers that best match my talents, personality, and calling. I am still trying to figure out how to manage both. Although I’ve stopped marketing my photography business to focus more on teaching, I have gotten some recent inquiries. Thank you to all of you who have reached out! Because of you, I spent the whole day setting up a photography studio in my new house and using the remote trigger to test the new set up and update my profile picture. My husband has also been encouraging me to promote my business. He is a top notch business owner of a web design company. He is helping me set up a website with my work and information. I currently live in the Beverly neighborhood of Chicago. I believe it’s the hidden gem of the south side. I can take pictures at me studio or within 20 miles of the Chicago Loop.
